NTS was founded in 1985 with the purpose of providing services for a broad spectrum of environmental issues. Since 1985, NTS has evolved into experienced teams, providing Professional Services, Environmental Laboratory Services, Water and Wastewater Treatment Services, and Technical Services. Our two main facilities are a Laboratory Building and a Professional and Technical Services Building; both are located in Virginia, MN. NTS also has two satellite laboratories and service centers located in Duluth and the Twin Cities Metro Area.
NTS is staffed with 50 professional and technical staff including hydrogeologists, chemists, engineers, biologists, environmental scientists, and a full support staff. Because of our unique structure and service, NTS forms partnerships with clients from both public and private entities. Public entities, including municipalities, banks, economic development authorities, public utilities, educational organizations, and State and local government agencies are part of our client base; as well as agricultural, forest, solid waste, water, waste water, mining, and power industries.
