Hearn Kirkwood is a privately held Food Service Distributor specializing in produce, meat, poultry, dairy, and seafood. Since our founding in 1946, we have grown from a store front on the downtown Baltimore Produce Market to a 60,000 sq. ft. facility. Hearn Kirkwood purchases 90% of our fresh produce direct from California, Florida, Texas, etc. with the balance supplied by local markets. We are located within one mile of Route 295 and I95 providing us with easy access to Baltimore, Washington and Virginia.
Hearn Kirkwood currently operates a fleet of 33 refrigerated trucks. Our service area includes all of Maryland, Washington D.C., Delaware and Northern Virginia. With limited service to Fredericksburg, Philadelphia, and New Jersey.

Danlac also supplies cheesemaking equipment for dairy processors. We help manufacturers to acquire appropriate cheesemaking equipment and can also become involved in an advisory capacity while consulting on the manufacturing of cheese and other dairy products. We specialise in HTST (plate pasteurise), cheese vats and tools for making cheese. Among the products we sell are thermometers, batch pasteurises, cheese cutters, curd knives, leak detector outlet valves, prepressing vats, scoops, shovels, steam heated cheese vats, hot water cheese vats, and trolley tables.
Our global suppliers provide quality dairy ingredients and dairy processing equipment. Ingredients include bacteria cultures, media, and enzymes (rennet, lipase, protease etc.). The equipment we stock is predominantly pasteurisers (batch & HTST.) and cheesemaking equipment (vats, tools, etc.), but we can also accommodate special requests. Danlac supplies dairy processing consulting services to cheese plants/makers who process speciality cheeses such as feta, gouda, and havarti.
Danlac, under the brand "Bionic", also caters to the 'at home' clientele who are making dairy products and cheese, in their homes. These products are also available for private labelling to individuals and companies that distribute to health food sections. We now have new line of dairy enzymes under the Renco brand. These dairy enzymes includes lipases (goat kid, lamb, and calf) and proteinases used in many cheeses. They can be ordered through our online store.
