EPV's manufacturing process is among the lowest cost commercially demonstrated processes, resulting in low cost modules and low cost electricity. Amorphous Silicon (a-Si) modules produced by EPV provide more electricity per rated watt than single crystalline silicon. a-Si modules have higher output per rated watt in higher temperature conditions and produce more power on cloudy days in low light conditions than traditional single crystalline silicon. EPV Modules have a uniform, dark color that is aesthetically appealing, can be made partially transparent and are frameless, which eliminates the need for individual module grounding and alleviates rainwater "damming" and sediment buildup

EPV offers several varieties of thin film modules based upon proprietary manufacturing technology with specially designed equipment for the production of quality, low cost, modules. The modules are ideal for rooftop, freestanding and building integrated (BIPV) applications. EPV modules can be found in numerous installations such as 4 Times Square, Philadelphia school of the future, Sacramento Municipal Utility District, to name a few. Our scientists and engineers have experience with the design and construction of fourteen thin-film PV manufacturing facilities. EPV's research and development efforts include Copper Indium Gallium Diselenide ("CIGS") technology and nano-crystalline silicon ("n-Si") technology.
