Conover Express Branch Library

http://www.conoverhardware.com

CONOVER - To celebrate 25 years of service to the community, Conover Home & Commercial Hardware will honor its customers on Friday, Oct. 1 with an anniversary celebration complete with food, prizes, product demonstrations and special one-day-only deals. The celebration is the store's way of saying "thank you" to the community that has supported it for the past quarter century, according to Store Manager Penny Corpening. "We like to think we are a part of this community and we have helped it grow as much as it has helped us. This is our way of giving something back to our customers." In addition to the anniversary celebration, Conover Home & Commercial Hardware is also marking its 25th birthday with several other changes. Throughout the past year, the store has changed its name, revamped its interior and updated the exterior, all in an effort to improve the overall shopping experience. And while the store has been updated for the new millennium, the management's values haven't really changed since the store opened in 1974 as Conover Lawn & Garden, Inc. As a family-owned business, Conover Home & Commercial hardware has always put the needs of its customers first. "Today's fast paced, do-it-yourself society is not satisfied with the cluttered, old-timey hardware store of yesteryear," Corpening says. "Customers prefer neat aisles with easy-to-locate items and quick check out. They have also come to count on the professional service they receive from our well-trained staff." To showcase the makeover, Conover enlisted the help of Allen Finley Advertising to design and promote the new name. Along with a new name, the agency also designed a logo, created billboards, and produced a television commercial that helped spread the store's philosophy of top-notch service, selection and competitive prices.
