Smythe Books was founded in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, in 1998 by Jim Strawn, who has established strong ties within an international network of antiquarian experts. Smythe is an antiquarian book store specializing in rare books and first editions. Of particular strength is its rare collection of first-edition works by J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, G.K. Chesterton, Dorothy Sayers and others in that famous British tradition of both classic fiction and Christian apologetics. In addition Smythe offers a wide selection of contemporary fiction in a number of genres, as well as good representation across the spectrum of nonfiction, especially in history and biography.
