Vassar is developing a database application for digitized art images (See the article in the Chronicle of Higher Education, January 24, 2003). We'd be glad to compare notes with anyone else tackling this challenge.
Going live this semester will be an online faculty elections system. It was programmed in-house to replicate the particularities of Vassar elections methodology-including nominations and voting for the whole range of faculty committees and offices. One of its interesting features is that it stores individual faculty ballots-in-progress, allowing members to review and revise their returns until the election deadline.
