  • We would like to introduce you to Dave Leap and his wife Marlene. Our ranch is located in Dillon, Montana, in the beautiful Beaverhead valley. The ranch supports prize winning trout along the Beaverhead River, deer, ducks, and geese as a setting for our registered Limousin cattle. The ranch contains abundant wild hay meadows, open water sources and natural shelters for calving ease in our operation. As a young man, I followed FFA with great enthusiasm. It was a life long dream come true when we started in the cattle business. We researched many breeds and decided Limousin was the answer to our goals. Limousin cattle originated in France. The Limousin are noted for being very lean meat, very little marbling, and a longer loin contributing to more Rib and T-bone steaks resulting in a higher percentage of cutability. We felt this beef production would support the new health conscious American generation. Everyone has concerns with cholesterol and fat content. This beef has proven to be America's answer to low fat beef. We can produce the bulls to make a difference in your herds. Limousin bulls are noted for easier calving on first calf heifers. Take advantage of 100% hybrid vigor, calving ease, muscle and uniformity. Weaning weights on crossbred calves are increased. These calves are growthy and tend to top the market at sale barns. Our herd is maintained for higher gestation rates and easy temperament. We will be able to start you with those replacement heifers to introduce more muscling and conformity in your herds.
