AbeTech is dedicated to giving back to the community that has given so much to us over the past 15 years. Every year AbeTech dedicates 4% of its pretax profit to its Charity Program, which supports three employee-selected charitable organizations. AbeTech provides these charities with not only money, but also hours of volunteering efforts. It's a program in which everyone wins!
Since 2001, AbeTech has donated both time and money to the Children's Cancer Research Fund (www.childrenscancer.com), one of AbeTech's primary charitable organizations. Over the years, employees have volunteered at fundraising events such as the Gopher Football Challenge, the Hunt for a Cure and the KS95 for Kids Radiothon.
AbeTech has been working with Common Hope (www.commonhope.org) since 2003. Assisting the organization with automating their warehouse, AbeTech has donated AIDC hardware and staff hours to get their system up and running. In 2007 AbeTech decided to participate in Common Hope's Sponsor a Child program as well as send volunteers to Guatemala through their Vision Team program.
In 2006 the employees of AbeTech selected Make-A-Wish (www.wish.org) foundation as the third charitable organization to support. Since our partnership, employees have volunteered by making wish chains, assembling necklaces and assisting with Story of Lights. Aside from the organizations in our Charity Program, AbeTech has also donated various pieces of bar code equipment to local organizations and charities. Our goal is to assist these organizations in becoming as efficient as possible, so they can concentrate on achieving their goals.
