Walker Foods is a regional importer and distributor of specialty foods and groceries to restaurants, major hotels, country clubs and institutional caterers in the Greater New York area. The Company has developed a strong niche in imported and domestic cheese distribution. The Company is authorized as and manages a United States Customs container station to handle the consolidation/distribution import operation from its plant in New Jersey.
Located in Springfield, New Jersey, Walker supplies restaurants, hotels, airline caterers, schools, healthcare facilities and country clubs among others. Walker services a customer base that requires a high level of service and flexibility. The Company maintains a fleet of 12 trucks that make daily deliveries to the majority of its customer base from a fully stocked warehouse of specialty foods, groceries and cheese.
The Company operates out of a 42,000 square foot modern distribution plant in Springfield, New Jersey. The building houses corporate offices, a refrigerated and dry storage warehouse and a complete shipping facility. Walker also runs a U.S. Customs "Approved Container Station" and Bonded Warehouse that accommodates the import movements for non-affiliated regional importers.
