Availink's core technical team consists of leading experts who have authored more than 100 U.S. and international patents. The technologies they invented made a significant impact on WCDMA/CDMA2000, DVB, 802.11, and satellite radio. More than 30 percent of the employees have a Ph.D. Availink¡¯s strategy is to combine its system expertise with its mixed signal IC design expertise to offer competitive products.
As the core technology provider, Availink is driving the China DTH (Direct To Home) industry. We have worked with the Chinese Academy of Broadcasting Science in the development of the China DTH standard: ABS-S (Advanced Broadcasting System-Satellite) and launched the first channel receiver IC which is fully compliant with ABS-S. More than ten manufacturers have launched products based on the Availink IC. The China DTH market is projected to grow into more than one hundred million users, larger than any other single video distribution network. Availink is proud to be associated with this historical launch of an emerging video distribution market that will significantly change the industry in China and potentially globally as well.
