Avant Insurance Managers, Inc. (formerly J.J. Post Company) has provided independent insurance brokerage and risk management services since 1994. The firm was formed to act as an independent advocate for the commercial insurance purchaser. Jeffrey J. Post, Founder and Executive Officer of the firm, believed that traditional methods left insurance purchasers at a disadvantage. Exclusive contract agents offer the products of one company only. Until recent litigation, most large national brokers pushed products that they either controlled or had a profit-sharing interest in.
Avant means "in the forefront," in homage to the firm's heritage. Mr. Post's firm has led the insurance industry through operational philosophy changes. For instance, Avant has never supported underwriting profit sharing to brokers by insurance companies on placement of policies. However, positive insurance solutions do come with a price. A service fee strategy is utilized for the expertise and efficiency that Avant brings to the table to support our clients business ventures. Through our "Short Stack" management philosophy we support knowledge-based decision making to our client support staff. This short stack refers to a short vertical integration to get things done for our clients in a timely and efficient manner.
