Diversified Metals Inc

http://www.diversifiedmetals.net

Diversified Metals, Inc., a specialty metal distributor, was established in 1977 by Kenneth Hamel to sell metal alloys to a broad base of customers throughout the country. Frustrating past experiences with the few, highly independent spcecialty metal distributors of the day led Ken to start his own company. The business would be based upon all the qualities lacking in the competition; superior customer service, outstanding quality control, timely shipping measures, and cost efficient products. Over the years, Diversified Metals, Inc. has turned these ideals into operating standards. The company's award winning quality control procedures have earned it business from many prime contractors and government procurement agencies, as well as large and small manufacturing facilities across the country and around the world.

Acme Metal Spinning

http://www.acmemetalspinning.com

Acme maintains a large inventory of tools for both prototype and production run work. Tooling is made of both laminated wood and mild steel. Both types are far less costly than the heat-treated tool steel required for metal stamping or deep drawing. This tool inventory gives the company an ability to respond very fast and economically on a new project. "We can quote on a job one afternoon and deliver prototype parts in a few days", says Mike Mokita, General Manager. "We're not able to do that on all work, but we do it most of the time when needed on a new product. Normal delivery is two to three weeks with complex jobs requiring 4 to 6 weeks." "Acme is not afraid to try new things to help out a customer," Mokita added. This is particularly true in prototype work where ACME is continually challenged with new materials, shapes and sizes. The ability to make parts quickly from increasingly thicker materials - 3/4 inch steel is one of the most notable -- has made Acme's offerings even more appealing. The company's fast turnaround is enhanced because it does all tool design in-house. Already-made tool components in a vast tool library gives Acme a head start on many jobs. Add the skill and experience of its tool makers to quickly design any missing elements and it's easy to see how the company has kept pace with the growing needs of customers like Minnesota Valley Engineering and Twin City Fan Blower.

Diamond Casting & Machine Company Inc

http://www.diamondcasting.com

Diamond Casting & Machine Company Inc has been producing quality castings since 1955. The company has been committed to using more technology than our competitors since the current management was put in place in 1972. During the seventies, considerable technology, facility and operating procedure upgrades were put in place. Since 1980 Diamond Casting & Machine Co. Inc. has focused on producing superior die castings, permanent mold castings and various CNC machined products ready for assembly by our customer. This focus has resulted in Diamond doing considerable explosion proof, pressure tight, and very low porosity products over the years; very similar skills are required to achieve high quality paint finishes on cast products. To do this type of work well, Diamond has, since 1980 invested heavily in R&D and capital equipment to facilitate excellence in its target market. Diamond has unique capabilities in the casting industry to develop the casting process for low porosity, pressure tight and explosion proof products because in addition to a capable, experienced staff the company's resources included considerable formal training in fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and broad engineering principles. Today Diamonds' casting capabilities are differentiated from most of the casting industry for very low porosity castings. Diamond Casting today has technology, equipment procedures and people that are beyond the scope of most companies that are in a similar business. We know how to produce products where others fail because we better understand the process dynamics, and we have great equipment that can perform way beyond what most in the industry is using.

Cerro Fabricated Products Inc

CFP is a progressive company headquartered in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Our experience in the industry dates back to 1915. We have emerged as one of the largest Brass and Aluminum shops in North America, supplying a wide range of complex parts. Among our many strengths, Quality and Delivery Performance are two of CFP's most important assets. Cerro Fabricated Products, Inc. is very proud of its service to the community. As part of our Management System Policy, "we are committed to the successes of our customers, our employees and our community." CFP and its employees put actions to these words beyond merely writing out a donation. Here are but a few of the local agencies in which we share a 'serving' relationship. CFP employees are heavily involved with the Blue Ridge Community Food Bank. Through various fundraising drives & events AND through periodic food collections, the Food Bank has been able to feed the men, women and children of the Shenandoah Valley who desperately need their help. These efforts also extend far beyond families living within our communities, as most recently evidenced through the assistance provided to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. In addition to the Community Food Bank, our employees actively work with the area Salvation Army. Each year, CFP generously participates in their "'Adopt a Family'" program. Profiles are provided as guidance for each child because the intent is to give local children, young and old, the Christmas they normally would not have had. Focusing on our employee's concern for the environment, CFP has recently been accepted into Virginia's Adopt-a-Highway cleanup program. This entails periodic grounds- keeping efforts covering the four access & exit ramps off I-81 that are part of the interchange servicing our community as well as stretches of the State Roads leading to our plant. We intend to keep our 2+ miles litter free as examples for all to see and appreciate. However, there is no greater gift to give than being participants in the Red Cross Blood Drives. All of us at Cerro Fabricated Products, Inc., understand and appreciate the importance of this involvement. The Red Cross has done an excellent job of educating our workforce as to the many uses coming from just one pint of blood. Because of their efforts, and those of our employees, each year's participation is greater than the last.
