http://www.centralvalleymed.com

Central Valley Medical Center and Nephi Medical Clinic provide quality, affordable medical care to the residents of Juab, Millard, and Sanpete Counties. Because these health care facilities are located near the convergence of three major highway systems (I-15, Highway 89, and SR 28) essential medical care is also available to travelers passing through the area. Central Valley Medical Center is a 19 bed full service hospital offering healthcare in the departments of emergency medicine, surgery, radiology, respiratory therapy, laboratory, physical therapy, hospice, homehealth and home medical equipment. The Hospital is staffed with six board certified family practitioners, one internist, a general surgeon, a radiologist, one nurse practitioner, and a certified physician assistant. These professionals offer a wide range of expertise in their commitment to provide the finest health care. Individual, personalized patient care is an important aspect in which the nursing staff takes special pride. Every effort is made to accommodate the needs of each patient so that their hospital stay is pleasant and comfortable. The Hospital is fortunate to have the additional skills of several specialists who offer consultation and services in orthopedics, urology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, oncology, podiatry, dermatology, pain management, neonatology, gerontology, and otolaryngology (ears, nose, and throat). Central Valley Medical Center provides Emergency Room care 24 hours a day. The medical staff is ACLS certified (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and participates in various certification programs throughout the year. Outpatient ancillary services in the departments of laboratory, respiratory therapy, radiology, and physical therapy, hospice, homehealth, and home medical equipment are available. The radiology department is furnished with state of the art CT scan equipment and also provides ultrasound, mammography, and fluoroscopy. The Hospital and associated clinics are governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees. Each trustee represents a community served by the Hospital. The Governing Board has a strong interest in improving the current health care system and responding to the growing medical demands of a rural area. Construction of a new hospital with an adjacent medical clinic was completed in January 2001. This wonderful new facility is a great asset to Nephi and surrounding communities. Central Valley Medical Center is an affiliate of Rural Health Management Corporation, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the viability of Utah rural hospitals.
