Providence Hospital in Southfield offers a 24-hour Chest Pain Unit to diagnose and treat patients experiencing chest pain. Physicians and nurses staffing this unit are trained in emergency cardiac care procedures and are backed by board-certified cardiologists and cardiac surgeons on Providence's medical staff. The Hospital's 15-bed Cardiac Care Unit and 10-bed Cardiac Surgical Unit are designed to care for patients in the critical hours and days after a heart attack or open heart surgery. The Hospital also offers inpatient (Phase I) and outpatient (Phases II and III) cardiac rehabilitation programs. A multidisciplinary approach is used to help heart attack and cardiac surgery patients combat coronary artery disease and make a lifelong commitment to exercise, proper nutrition and good health.

Hahnemann University Hospital
