Micronclean has operated its own on-site test laboratory for over 15 years. The laboratory was originally established to provide routine environmental monitoring facilities for the company production sites. The range of services provided to the company has gradually expanded and in addition to microbiological testing a range of garment, fabric and process tests are now undertaken. These include ESD tests, wash trials, component and process testing, system validation and equipment calibration. The laboratory has been recently refurbished and upgraded to allow for further development. Research and development activity is focused on customer requirements. The RD&T department works closely with the Customer Service and Sales teams both to provide technical support and in developing new garments, fabrics, support products and processes. RD&T also work closely with other Micronclean plants throughout the world. The RD&T department has 4 main areas of activity.
