Trainor Funeral Home Inc

http://www.trainorfuneralhome.com

Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. has served families in Oneida and Lewis Counties for over 100 years with compassionate and dignified service, and has been locally owned and managed by three generations of the Trainor family. The funeral home was founded by Clarence W. Trainor in 1906 in the Hamlet of West Leyden, and was operated by Clarence and his wife Mildred, also a licensed funeral director. In 1938 they purchased the present funeral home on Schuyler Street, Boonville. Over the years the Victorian home has been enlarged in a manner to accomodate large services, while still serving small private gatherings. In 1946 Wesley A. Trainor, son of Clarence and Mildred, graduated from Simmons School of Embalming and Mortuary Science and joined his parents in the operation of the funeral home. During World War II Wesley had served with the U.S. Army's 96th Infantry Division in the Pacific Theatre and received an honorable separation. Wesley passed away in August 2001. Carl W. Trainor, son of Wesley and Glenyce Trainor, graduated from Adirondack Central School in 1975, and from S.U.N.Y. Canton with an Associates Degree in Mortuary Science in 1977. In 1979 Carl joined his father in the operation of the funeral home, which they operated together for a number of years. In 1998, Jesse G. Boyd, a licensed funeral director, and native of Rome, joined the staff at the funeral home and assists Carl in its operation. Jesse graduated from Simmons Institute of Funeral Service, Inc., Syracuse, in 1992. Carl and Jesse continue their education by attending many seminars on Funeral Directing, Embalming, Grief Support, and numerous related topics in order to help them better serve families, whether it be at the time of death of a loved one or for pre-arranging funeral services. The Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, New York State Funeral Directors Association, and the Tri-County Funeral Directors Association.

Syracuse Casket Direct

http://www.syracusecasket.com

Syracuse Casket Direct are sold exclusively through the largest network of Retail Casket Sales Centers in North America. Each of our authorized dealers is certified in the handling and care of our products. Syracuse Casket Direct works closely with our dealers in providing them with the knowledge that is needed to help consumers in making decisions based upon fact, logic, reason, and the law, versus grief-stricken emotion and the high pressure sales tactics used all too often in the funeral process. Most consumers have precious little knowledge of how to buy a funeral, let alone what is legally required and what rights the purchaser does have. According to the Federal Trade Commission, "A funeral can be the third or fourth most costly expenditure of our life". It defies logic that most people still rely upon the opinion of the funeral director, in many cases a stranger, for what is an appropriate ceremony, what type of casket should be selected, and how much should be spent! We can avoid many of the pitfalls surrounding the funeral process by following seven simple steps,. 1. Comparison Shop - Today's average traditional funeral has skyrocketed to between $6,000.00 - $10,000.00, with costs continuing to soar. According to death care experts, a knowledgeable consumer can shop around and spend as little as $2,000.00 - $3,000.00 for a complete funeral with a steel casket. Comparison shopping is the key. Funeral home pricing can vary dramatically for virtually the same selection of service and merchandise from one location to the next. Many consumers are taking advantage of their legal right to comparison shop by phone. By law, funeral homes must provide specific answers to specific questions.

Hendren Funeral Home Ltd

http://www.hendrenfuneralhome.com

Hendren Funeral Home has a long-standing history in the community of Lakefield. We are committed to the families we serve during their time of need. We are equally committed to supporting community groups and charities. We believe that a connected community thrives. By supporting the community we are supporting ourselves and our collective futures. The residents of Lakefield and the surrounding Kawartha Lakes area have been served by the Hendren Funeral Home for well over 100 years. The Hendren Funeral Home was established in 1880 by Thomas Hendren. The business was subsequently taken over by his son George. George was joined in the business by his son Donald after Don was discharged form the Air Force following World War II. Donald operated the funeral home until he sold the business and retired in 1987 . In 1987, Larry & Mary Soder purchased the Hendren Funeral Home from Mr. Hendren. Larry himself comes from a family that includes three generations of funeral directors. Located in scenic park-like surroundings overlooking the main street and the river, The Hendren Funeral Home is dedicated to ensuring that your loved one's life is remembered and celebrated. The professional staff at Hendren's is there to ensure that your every need is addressed, through the time of the funeral and beyond, in an individual and personal way. To further this, The Hendren Funeral Home is proud to offer bereavement support to their families through a series of HelpLetters from AfterLoss Grief Recovery Program. Each issue had been carefully planned to provide hope, help and healing information about the subjects, the emotions and the questions most bereaved people face during the period after their loss. Making funeral pre-arrangements has become more commonplace. Often times people make their own pre-arrangements and in some instances a family member, often the executor, will make the arrangements on someone else's behalf. The arrangements usually include recording vital statistics and your personal choices regarding services and merchandise. Although not mandatory, all or part of the pre-arrangement may be pre-paid. Families may select a single payment plan or a time payment option either through a trust account, annuity or an insurance vehicle. Both are regulated by the Board of Funeral Service (a government body under the Ministry of Consumer & Business Services) to prevent any opportunity for your money to be misappropriated. The Hendren Funeral Home's history is an entrenched part of Lakefield's heritage and continues to be an integral part of the community.

Reynoldsville Casket Company

http://www.reynoldsvillecasket.com

At Reynoldsville Casket Company we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, selection, and service -- and the heart of our commitment is our craftsmanship. From painstaking preparation to the final touch, every unit manufactured at Reynoldsville Casket is crafted with care. Our staff of highly skilled specialists is dedicated to producing only the best, and their pride is apparent at every step of the manufacturing process. Our motto says it all: Quality Products by Quality People. There are some production processes at Reynoldsville Casket that are the key to our quality. Our grinding is unsurpassed in the industry as we are the only casket manufacturer that grinds each casket 3 times. Every single casket Reynoldsville manufactures goes through a rough grind, finish grinding and a final vibration grind process. This extra attention to detail gives Reynoldsville's caskets a superior smooth finish. Each gasketed casket on Reynoldsville's production line is seam welded using a specially designed wheel that is water-cooled as it welds a continuous seam in the bottom of the casket. This seam is then hydro-submersed to ensure the quality of the weld. A seam welded bottom deters the entrance of outside moisture. Quality is the driving force behind RCC's new high pressure degrease station where every casket is washed and phosphatized with a special washing chemical that is heated to 160 degrees. The result is the finest finish in the casket industry. To get the superior finish that a Reynoldsville casket is known for, the casket is baked through a series of 5 ovens. The casket pictured here is being baked dry after phosphatizing. The primer, base coat and top coats are also baked to a smooth finish with the final bake to reflow the finish to its ultimate shine. The confidence that our funeral professionals place in our products is our most valuable asset. That's why the Bodyguard* Tray has become a part of each and every standard size metal and wood casket that Reynoldsville Casket manufactures. The Bodyguard* Tray assures containment of fluids and added corrosion resistance: leakage is captured and contained through the service, transport, and even after interment. * The Bodyguard Tray is a trademarked product of Vandor Corporation, Richmond, IN. The introduction of an oxidizer coupled with an electrostatic spray system with 22 quick change colors has revolutionized Reynoldsville Casket's paint process. Not only does Reynoldsville's units have an unbeatable finish, but their lacquer-based finish is completely DEP compliant and beats the finish of our competitors who use water based or powder coat paint processes. Customization is the finishing touch that sets Reynoldsville Casket Company products apart from the rest of the industry. Because we are an independent manufacturer, we can personalize our service to meet our clients' needs and we're proud to say that's our tradition. Interiors are sewn right on our premises by skilled seamstresses and trimmers, experts at customization who handcraft each interior with care. Reynoldsville stocks a vast array of quality fabrics in a variety of colors and styles ensuring a perfect match for each style and a large selection for every price range. Enhanced Service was Reynoldsville Casket's goal when it built a new 23,000 square foot building for additional casket storage in 2004. Caskets in the existing buildings have been moved to the new facility freeing up much needed space so that the company can focus on production line expansion. Having the proper supply of caskets on hand to meet customer needs is very important to Reynoldsville Casket. Today, nearly 1/3 of all consumers choose cremation with the trend expected to grow to 50% within the next several years. The funeral professionals that will thrive tomorrow will recognize how consumers' needs are changing and transform their businesses to educate and better serve those consumers today and into the future. Funeral Professionals need tools to market their products and services to the ever-emerging group of cremation consumers. Selling to cremation clientele can be as easy as 1-2-3 with the MasterTouch Cremation Planning System -- an exclusive display system and product line offered by Reynoldsville Casket. For those funeral professionals who are looking for a full line casket supplier that can customize units when discriminating families desire them, Reynoldsville Casket is the choice. Our full service shipping, sales and customer service staffs are ready to serve YOU!

Thacker Caskets , Inc.

http://www.thackercaskets.com

Among these features are: A new PPG paint system for deep and lustrous finishes; a wide variety of painted, shaded, and brushed finishes; a one-piece rubber gasket; concealed hinges; adjustable beds and mattresses; safety-seal stationary or swing bar handles; absorbent pack mattresses; hand sewn interiors; and the industry's most extensive selection of luxuriously embroidered, custom designed back panels. From the most elaborate State Funeral to the most economical alternative service, Thacker Caskets, Inc is your preferred source for value and quality. Nature's own hardwoods have literally served man from cradle to grave for thousands of years. It is often said that the foundation of funeral service is sentiment. Each of us has sentimental feelings associated with wood. We live with wood,we choose it for our furniture and to decorate our homes. Wood's warmth is pleasing and comforting. Each of us has his own "favorite" specie of wood--usually reflected by the type of furniture that we select for our homes. Some prefer the bold, "outdoors" look of Oak,some favor the more refined lines of Mahogany or Cherry, still others are drawn to the "colonial" look of Northern Pine, New England Maple, Southern Pecan or Tennessee Cedar. Environmentalists are pleased to learn that the woods that we utilize come from managed forests. Wood is one of America's very few renewable natural resources. About 70% of the lumber reserves in the US today existed when Columbus landed over 500 years ago! Families that choose cremation for the final disposition often have widely varied preferences as to the container to be used to cremate the deceased. At Thacker Caskets, Inc. we offer the industry's most extensive collection of cremation containers. Solid hardwood caskets specially constructed for cremation, hardwood veneer caskets, cloth covered caskets, nicely decorated composite board caskets, and simple, unembellished cardboard containers are all included in Thacker's array of cremation offerings. Thacker Caskets, Inc. offers products to meet the needs of every family seeking cremation. All of our caskets and containers are built to be completely cremated, and are crafted from environmentally friendly materials.
