Northshore Fire Department offers a wide variety of information on various fire and life safety topics. We offer fire & life safety presentations to schools, seniors, businesses and community organizations in our fire district. Hands-On Fire Extinguisher training is available to business employees and special groups in the community. An offering that will soon be available is a Babysitter's Safety class called Super Sitters.
Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue provides fire and emergency medical services in the City of Kelso and the unincorporated areas surrounding Longview and Kelso. There are approximately 34,000 citizens in the 170 square miles we protect and serve. We are a combination career and volunteer organization with approximately 150 members.
The North Shore Fire Department and several local hotels and motels are offering The First Night is on Us! Arrangements have been made to provide complimentary lodging to any North Shore resident that is temporarily displaced due to fire, flood, natural disaster, carbon monoxide, etc. NSFD can also assist those with pets. Some of the hotels will take pets, or we can call to get your pet boarded. We can also make contact with a veterinarian or 24-hour emergency veterinary service if needed. NSFD can also provide pamphlets and contact information to guide you and your family through the process of rebuilding and returning to normal.
