Township Transit Services Inc.

http://townshiptransit.com

Township Transit Services delivers fixed route and Paratransit services under contract to BC Transit, the Province's exclusive transit management authority and have chosen Chevin's RoadBASE system to manage their fleet of vehicles. RoadBASE is Chevin Fleet Solutions' long established Windows-based fleet management solution that is a popular choice amongst small and medium sized fleet operations that want a flexible and user-friendly system. It has been on the UK market for the last 15 years and when Chevin set up their subsidiary company, Chevin Fleet Solutions, LLC in Massachusetts in 2002, RoadBASE was subsequently launched into the North American market. The software is already proving to be just as popular across the Atlantic as it is here. With the implementation of RoadBASE, Township Transit immediately benefits from it's flexible capabilities including comprehensive maintenance planning and scheduling, complete work order and inventory management, as well as accident, driver and real time fuel management. With the addition of fully integrated touch screen and bar-coding capabilities, Township Transit gains dramatic efficiencies in information accuracy and technician productivity. Furthermore, by extending RoadBASE's capabilities to directly interface with BC Transit's proprietary E-Billing system, the organisation will dramatically streamline and simplify their monthly billing.

Community Transit

http://www.commtrans.org

Community Transit operates 32 local and 31 commuter bus routes and carries 57 percent of all Snohomish County-Seattle commuters to work and back. Last year Community Transit provided more than 7.7 million passenger rides. Growth has been a big part of Community Transit's history. Since starting in the seven original communities, citizens in every city in the county except Everett have voted to join the agency: Monroe and Lake Stevens in 1977; Stanwood, Granite Falls, Mukilteo and Sultan in 1979; Arlington in 1980; Gold Bar, Index and Startup in 1981; Oso and Darrington in 1982; Mill Creek in 1983 and Bothell in 1992. In addition, Community Transit provides countywide commuter service into and out of Everett. Buses are only part of Community Transit's success over the past quarter-century. The agency's flourishing vanpool program - with the third largest fleet in the nation - provided more than 729,000 trips last year. Also, the DART paratransit program helped provided more than 162,000 trips for the disabled last year, taking them to everything from medical appointments to entertainment events. As a regional transportation player, Community Transit is contracted to provide Sound Transit service for Snohomish County, operating 32 buses on six routes. Community Transit helped develop the Puget Pass, which allows riders to use one pass on transit systems in Snohomish, King and Pierce counties and is working on a regional smart card system. Community Transit also works with nearly 100 of the area's largest companies on Commute Trip Reduction programs, which lower the number of single occupancy vehicles on our busy roads.
