We at Sweet Memories are also very proud to be one of the few florists in Sacramento to offer floral preservation through freeze-drying. We can freeze-dry all or just a few of your wedding flowers either before or after your wedding. You may want to preserve your bouquet as a perfect remembrance of your special day, or give away a preserved corsage, table arrangement, or any other item from your bridal package as a special thank you.

Ms. Christie began her love affair with flowers as a young girl growing up on a farm in Kansas and became committed to preserving the environment during the years she and her husband lived on a mountain ranch in Wyoming. After graduating with a B.A. in fashion from Stephens College, she modeled in Chicago, then owned and operated her own travel business while in Wyoming and Houston. She served on the Board of Directors of the International Freeze-Dried Floral Association, the Board of the Houston Alumnae Association of Stephens College, and was active with the Houston Chapter of Rotary International. She is a past board member of Ikebana, an international organization for Japanese flower arranging. She also has been a long time board member of IIE, Institute of International Education. Currently she serves on the board of AD Players, a Houston based, world renowned Christian theater group, and is the Communications Coordinator S.E. Texas for CWA, Concerned Women for America, the nation's largest public policy women's organization, based in Washington, DC. She represented CWA at the Houston Coalition Against Human Trafficking conference in Houston in November 2005. Ms. Christie has been featured in local and national publications as well as on numerous radio and television shows. As with all her products, Gayle Christie works to create an awareness for preserving the environment's natural beauty, in addition to helping numerous groups for the protection of animals.
