The Texas Trout Series along with the Texas Redfish Series, Texas Kayak Series and Texas Texas Kid's Series are produced by Simrod Outdoors, LLC. Simrod Outdoors, LLC. was founded by Scot Simmons and Jim Elrod (top left) in 2004. In 2005, they hosted the Texas Redfish Tournament Series, now know as the Blue Wave Texas Redfish Series. After requests from many of our anglers, The Blue Wave Texas Trout Series was introduced this year for the 2006 season. This Trout Tournament is set-up to become one of the largest speckled trout tournament trails in the United States. With low entry fees, large pay-outs and national television exposure for our anglers, the response to the tournament is much greater than expected.
