Ansell Limited and its subsidiaries are principally engaged in the development, manufacturing and sourcing, distribution and sale of gloves and protective products in the Occupational Healthcare, Professional Healthcare and Consumer Healthcare global markets. The Company operates in three segments: Occupational Healthcare, Professional Healthcare and Consumer Healthcare. Occupational Healthcare segment manufactures and sells occupational health and safety gloves. Professional Healthcare segment manufactures and sells medical, surgical and examination gloves for hand barrier protection and infection control. Consumer Healthcare segment manufactures and sells condoms, household gloves and other personal products. On July 2, 2008, Ansell Limited acquired Hawkeye Glove Company, a supplier to the United States military.
