Lamb's Bricks and Arches

http://www.lambsbricks.com

Lambs is an established family business that has been making bricks and architectural ceramics for five generations. William Tribe Lamb founded the business over 100 years ago and remained an active partner until 1914. Over the years the company expanded its operation to include numerous brickworks as well as acquiring the rights to Thomas Lawrence of Bracknell Red Rubber Bricks (TLB) and are now the sole providers of authentic Red Rubber material. Our product range has expanded greatly in the ensuing years; Lambs are specialist providers of gauged arches and imperial handmade bricks and specials. In addition we also manufacture traditional architectural terracotta and faience at our state of the art facilities.

BIG RIVER INDUSTRIES , INC.

http://www.bigriverind.com

Big River Industries, Inc. produces high quality expanded clay lightweight aggregates. These aggregates are used in a wide range of applications by customers throughout the South and Midwest. The company began in 1954 with the production of BRI®, a rotary kiln expanded clay produced at the company headquarters location near Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In 1984 a second expanded clay lightweight aggregate, Livlite, was added with the acquisition of the Tombigbee Lightweight Aggregate Company in Livingston, Alabama. The Arkalite plant in West Memphis, AR was purchased in 2005 making Big River Industries the largest producer of clay based lightweight aggregate. Today, Big River's annual shipping capacity of lightweight aggregate exceeds 2 million cubic yards. Big River lightweight aggregates are used in a variety of concrete masonry and ready-mix concrete products, including concrete blocks, structural concrete for buildings and highway bridge decks, precast concrete, skid resistant asphalt, and specialty products. Compared to ordinary aggregates, lightweight aggregates provide fire resistance, insulating capabilities, strength, durability, earthquake and fatigue resistance, and cost efficiency. In addition to lightweight aggregates, Big River markets Class C Fly Ash, a by-product of western coal combustion. Fly Ash can be used as a partial replacement for cement in concrete and concrete products, and for soil stabilization.
