Jet Theatre Company

http://www.jettheatre.co.uk

Jet Theatre aims to produce work that is collaborative and innovative. Actors work creatively alongside directors, designers and composers to produce fresh solutions to storytelling, which is the basis of theatre. Although we emphasize the physical skills of the actor's craft, we regard text as the mainspring of our work. This may lead us to radical interpretations of classic plays, such as The Deceived (1999), or devised work that draws on non-dramatic texts, as in Voyagers. Our first production, The Deceived was presented in London in 1999. Voyagers opened at the Warehouse Theatre Croydon in 2001 and toured England. 3 Servants opened at the Warehouse Theatre Croydon in 2002. We also have a strong commitment to educational work as one way of developing new audiences. Concurrent with our productions we run workshops in secondary schools to pass on some of the techniques that we have explored. Our patron is Joseph Fiennes.
