California Moving Systems was formed in 1967 by Sacramento businessmen Jack Higdon and Gerry Cryderman, with the goal of growing a business which would offer it's clients a broad spectrum of moving and storage services while establishing quality service as the company's cornerstone.
Since the day the doors opened to today, this family run company has strived for excellence in all areas of the moving industry. Our company has been rewarded for our hard work by receiving the coveted Milton Hill Award for Excellence in 2004-2005, the highest award presented by Atlas Van Lines.
California Moving Systems business plan from the outset was to diversify and offer clients specialized moving services such as corporate employee relocations, office and facility moves, exhibit and trade show moves, high value and electronic equipment moves. Adding product distribution / logistics, commercial storage and business records management, California Moving Systems continues to grow while never losing focus on the quality of service.
Acknowledging the need to align itself with a van line that has a similar business philosophy and a focus towards corporate clients, California Moving Systems became a stock holding agent of Atlas Van Lines in 1989.
