(October, 2007) EMTA goes BLACK AND ORANGE.
Under the direction of Towanda art teachers Shvonne and Jason Strickland, Towanda students recently painted an EMTA Blue Bus black and orange for the Towanda Halloween parade.
The bus ran its regular route (Valley/Towanda) for about a week before being washed.
Endless Mountains Transportation Authority will not make cuts in Service.
There has been some concern that EMTA would be making some cuts in service to their customers or increase fares and co-pays. Instead EMTA is looking at what they can do within the company to cut costs.One of the things that EMTA has implemented is all shared ride passengers must make their appointments before 1p.m. and all out of the service area appointments must be made by 12 a.m.What this does is helps EMTA group more people together going in the same direction. That alone will help with cost of fuel and keep drivers from running into overtime.
