The KCRC is a public corporation operating and developing domestic, cross-boundary and intercity railway services. The Light Rail system of the KCRC was established in 1988 to provide local passenger transport within the North West New Territories (NWNT). There are seven Light Rail routes currently serving a population of over 900,000 in the region.
