Bellerud Transport has been serving its clients with quality long haul services for over 50 years. It's a business that has grown over the years in both size and respectable reputation. It was strong loyal partnerships that started Bellerud Transport back in 1955 when, just shortly after graduating high school, Dick Bellerud borrowed $1,000 from his grandmother to start trucking. Dick drove for more than 20 years and became very well-known in the trucking industry. By the mid 1970's, he was so well known that other truckers often called him to find loads. This took him into the brokerage business, which he started in his home at Grafton ND.
By the 1980's Bellerud Transport had continued to grow as a brokerage & trucking firm. They relocated to Fargo ND in 1990. Also in the 1980's Bellerud Transport added key individuals to the organization that have been significant to its continued success. In 1982, Dick's son Larry Bellerud joined the company. In 1989 Paul Shereck joined the organization and in 1991 Rob Kraft started. Bellerud Transport had put in place a solid management foundation to support them long term. Along with a solid leadership team, strong partnerships continued to fuel the growth at Bellerud; especially key partnerships like Jennie-O Turkey Stores, PepsiCo/ Tropicana Transportation and Silver Spring Citrus. Throughout the changes and growth, Bellerud Transport never compromised on quality.
Today, Bellerud Transport is headquartered in Fargo ND. Dick Bellerud serves as the President of Bellerud Transport and Larry Bellerud is the Vice President. Paul Shereck serves Bellerud Transport as the Head of Operations and Rob Kraft is Comptroller & Safety Director. Shirley Klocke joined Bellerud in 2001. She has the clerical responsibilities at Bellerud and also oversees safety. Sue McDonald and Travis Lindsey are the most recent additions to the organization. Sue McDonald joined Bellerud Transport in 2006 as a dispatcher. Travis Lindsey started in 2007 in dispatch.
Bellerud Transport handles both refrigerated and dry freight with late model Peterbuilt & Kenworths. They service 48 of the United States and also portions of Canada and continue to maintain a respectable reputation for delivering great customer service, quality equipment, and being committed to strong loyal partnerships with their drivers and customers.
