Since 1978, the BWI Development Council has been the leading private sector force in the marketing and promotion of Baltimore/ Washington International Airport, and a key player in attracting new airlines and developing air service. Comprised of several hundred volunteers from the business community in the region, the Council plays an integral role in supporting airport development.
Recognizing the airport's assets and its potential, the Council is a dynamic group dedicated to BWI's future. Advancing BWI for the benefit of all in the region, the Development Council strives to raise awareness of BWI and its economic importance to the State. Membership is open to businesses and individuals in the Baltimore/Washington region who have an interest in BWI.
