EnSoft was founded in 2002. Our technology is based on 10 years of research, conducted at Iowa State University's Knowledge-Centric Software Lab. Our technology enables us to create automatic and semi-automatic tools that execute high-level strategies used by engineers in the development process.
The first major breakthrough to use this technology was ParAgent, a tool for migrating finite difference method simulations to run on a cluster of computers. In 1996 a single person using ParAgent was able to migrate a large weather modeling application in just two weeks, considerably less than the 3.5 engineer-years it took another team to migrate manually.
Today EnSoft continues to leverage this technology to create shrink-wrapped and custom tools for the automotive, aerospace, system software, and financial services markets.
