  • The Rye Country Store has been evolving since 1958. Vincent and Gerrie Spinelli bought the Rye Meat Market as a full-service meat market in 1958. In 1972, as times changed, Vincent and Gerrie began the process of changing the format to more cooked foods, catering and adding giftware and gift baskets, cheeses, breads, etc. In 1983 the Rye Country Store doubled its size and continued adding to its diversity. In 1988 Claire Hassi, who had worked for the Spinellis for seven years, and her partner, Chris Colalucci, took the reins, expanded again and have since moved to a beautiful new location, built and designed specifically for the production and sales of fine gourmet foods. In our tenure, we have strived to continue to maintain the high quality in the fields of catering and prepared foods started so many years ago by the Spinellis.
