Lion Hudson thus publishes books under four different imprints. Lion and Lion Children's Books take Christian values into the general marketplace; Candle and Monarch support Christian families, individuals and communities in their devotional and spiritual lives. The company's books sell all round the world, international co-editions being a particular strength. Over 50% of turnover is earned in export markets and titles have been translated into more than 170 different languages.
In recent years Lion and Angus Hudson books have won numerous prizes including the Smarties prize for children's fiction (for Pauline Fisk's Midnight Blue), the Angoulême International Graphic Book Festival award (for The Lion Graphic Bible), and 20 separate prizes at the annual UK Christian Booksellers Convention.
