Grand River Printing & Imaging was founded by David Green and Robert Gochicoa in Southfield, Michigan in 1978. The company began as a provider of one and two-color open web offset publication products for the Detroit Metro short to medium run market.
In the 1980s, with investments in process color technology, Grand River became nationally recognized as a high quality provider of full-color web offset publication products and services.
In the 1990s, Grand River entered the commercial web offset market with the introduction of its first six-unit heatset press. Rapid growth followed as the company began producing advertising, high-end publication and catalog products for local, regional and national accounts.
By the year 2000, Grand River had installed three six-unit heatset web presses and had established a reputation for high-quality work in the publication, commercial and advertising insert segments.
In 2004, Grand River Printing & Imaging relocated to a state-of-the-art web offset printing facility in Van Buren Township, Michigan. The company now has sales revenues over $20 million and 90 employees.
