Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSMC), incorporated on February 21, 1987, is a foundry in the semiconductor industry. As a foundry, the Company manufactures semiconductors using its advanced or mainstream manufacturing processes for its customers based on their own or third parties’ integrated circuit designs. The Company offers a range of wafer fabrication processes, including processes to manufacture complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) logic, mixed-signal, radio frequency, embedded memory, bipolar complementary metal oxide semiconductor (BiCMOS) mixed-signal and other semiconductors. It also offers design, mask making, probing, testing and assembly services. The Company manufactures semiconductors on silicon wafers based on its circuitry designs provided by its customers or third-party designers.
