Old Glory Insurance Company is a Texas-based insurer that specializes in workers' compensation. As a new company chartered in 2003 by the Texas Department of Insurance, Old Glory is not subject to many of the ongoing claims challenges faced by some workers' compensation companies. Other operations of Heartland include third party claims administration to the federal government as well as state and private entities, retail insurance sales, wholesale brokerage, premium finance, and related functions. Heartland, a privately held organization with roots back to the 1960's, has approximately 45 internal shareholders. Heartland entities combined, employ over 240 associates.
A. M. Best Company has assigned a Best's Rating of B+ (Very Good) and Financial Size Category of FSC III. Being rated after only one year was a strong affirmation of Old Glory's Business Plan and operating model.
