Montpelier Re Holdings Ltd. is a provider of global property and casualty reinsurance and insurance products through its principal operating subsidiary, Montpelier Reinsurance Ltd. (Montpelier Re). The Company has another wholly owned subsidiary, Montpelier Agency Ltd. (MAL), which provides insurance management services. Montpelier Re has two wholly owned subsidiaries: Montpelier Marketing Services (United Kingdom) Limited (MMSL) and Montpelier Holdings (Barbados) SRL (MHB). MMSL provides business introduction and other support services to Montpelier Re. MHB is a holder of certain types of securities, including United States equity securities. The Company operates through two business segments: Rated Reinsurance and Insurance business, and Collateralized Property Catastrophe Retrocessional business. Montpelier Re operates in three lines of business: property specialty, property catastrophe and other specialty.
