Media Prima Berhad (Media Prima) is an investment holding company engaged in the provision of procurement services for its subsidiaries. Through its subsidiaries, the Company is engaged in investment holding, commercial television and radio broadcasting, general media advertising, sale of program rights, sale of videos, cable and laser rights, and the provision of production, event management and other industry related services. In May 17, 2007, the Company acquired a 20% equity interest in Merit Idea Sdn Bhd. On March 30, 2007, the Company completed the acquisition of Big Tree Outdoor Sdn. Bhd. (BTO). In April 2008, the Company acquired Lazim Juta Sdn Bhd. As of April 16, 2008, Lazim Juta Sdn Bhd was dormant. In September 2008, Media Prima Berhad announced that it has acquired Star Crest Media Sdn Bhd.
