Our 16th century Surrey-Style Manor is situated in the heart of the famous 1000 Islands Region along the shores of the St. Lawrence River in Brockville, Ontario, Canada. Fulford Academy-School of English is Canadian owned and operated, with 25 years of past experience in traditional Canadian Boarding Schools. Fulford Academy provides an English Second Language environment in a boarding school setting that allows students to accelerate their English Language skills and acclimatize culturally, in preparation for a North American Boarding or Public High School Program. Residential life at Fulford Academy prepares students for life in the North American Boarding School system. We have daily routines that are carbon copies of traditional Boarding School programs. Students from Fulford Academy can be confident that upon acceptance to their Boarding School of choice, they have been well prepared for the structure and routine they will encounter there. Students normally increase their SLEP Scores (Secondary Language English Proficiency) by 20 percentiles each quarterly term and most students register for a full academic year program (minimum 3 terms). This very intensive program is geared for highly motivated students who wish to qualify for the best boarding schools in Canada and the US. Students, who successfully complete the Fulford Academy intensive academic English Second Language Program and meet the English Second Language Admission requirements, will qualify for placement at many of the prestigious Boarding Schools or International Public School Programs in Canada and the United States. Our success is indicated by the prestigious Boarding Schools that our 2002-2003 graduating students have successfully gained admission to. Wildcat School

http://www.wildcatschool.org

Mission: The Wildcat School is dedicated to ensuring every student succeeds and thrives in school, and will offer a curriculum focusing on excellence in math and science as well as all core subjects taught in a hands-on learning environment. Vision: We envision a dynamic educational process incorporating partnerships with local colleges and universities, community groups and businesses that will ensure students have time on campus, exposure to a wide array of academic disciplines, and access to current research through outreach programs across every campus, from fine arts to technology. Belief: We believe parents, educators, and community and business leaders, when free to combine their creative power with their dedication to students, can foster educational excellence. We believe that middle and high school students achieve best when they are provided a rigorous curriculum offering challenging problems and projects that require them to use their acquired knowledge to understand, interpret and make decisions in real life situations. This is done by giving students a rich array of technologies, resources and tools to excite their minds and their passions and by engaging them in real-world settings to observe and apply their new skills. Most importantly, we believe that this learning environment needs the intellectual and emotional support of highly qualified teachers who can give them the feedback needed for continuing academic and personal success.
