Capitol Scientific, Inc. is a stocking distributor which has been based in Austin, Texas since 1963. All orders from companies in the Austin Metropolitan Area will be delivered in our own company delivery vehicle whenever it may be safely performed. Orders delivered by our delivery vehicle will incur a $10.00 delivery charge if they do not meet our $300.00 minimum for free delivery. All other orders shipped to out of town accounts will be shipped via the safest and most economical method unless otherwise specified. All parcel post and UPS shipments are insured for their replacement value. Customers are welcome to have motor freight shipments sent to them collect via the carrier of their choice. Capitol Scientific has excellent discounts with major inter0 and intrastate carriers and bill pre-paid and add shipments at the exact amount invoiced by the carrier. We are not in the shipping busines and will not under any circumstances, ever use freight charges as a proft center. It is our policy to package all products shipped via UPS, Parcel Post, or motor freight to avoid breakage or damage. Despite these efforts, breakage and damage does occur due to mishandling of the package by the parcel or freight carrier. Should this occur on any shipment received from Capitol Scientific, the customer should contact the carrier to file a claim as title passes once the product is picked up from Capitol Scientific's warehouse by the carrier responsible for the delivery of the product.
