Alpine Pictures , Inc.

http://www.alpinepix.com

Founded in 1995 by brothers Ryan and Roland Carroll, Alpine Pictures, Inc. was created to develop and produce independent films. The brothers combined their talent in business and the performing arts to create a company devoted to quality entertainment with commercial appeal. Ryan graduated from the world famous Goodman School of Drama, and Roland studied at the School of Business Administration at Loyola, in Chicago prior to attending the esteemed USC School of Cinema and Television. While working on the feature film Witchboard (Horror), the Carroll Brothers were given an opportunity to merge their film skills. Witchboard, their first joint project, went on to gross over $30m and is still a Halloween favorite. Following their success, the brothers formed GCO Productions and within six months began production on the feature film Season of Fear. Upon the completion of Season of Fear (released by MGM/UA), the brothers each began working on independent projects. In 1995, they reunited, and formed Alpine Pictures, Inc. (API). The young company produced several feature films, and soon incorporated efforts in the profitable sector of distribution. API began licensing their films to international markets, and soon expanded to include international distribution for films produced by other companies or individuals. They have recently begun to include domestic (USA) distribution to capitalize on the huge international market seeking distribution in the United States, and to enhance co-production deals with International production companies. The combined elements of the company cover film production, television production, distribution to all markets, including theatrical, cable, broadcast and the home video (DVD) markets. The computer revolution is adding new market segments, and API is preparing to enter that market as well.
