Ovagenix began operation in Dec. 1999 as CRL Enterprises under the direction of Dr. Charles Looney and wife Cathryn out of their home in Bryan, TX. Dr. Looney has worked for two of the worlds largest embryo transfer programs, Granada Genetics and Trans Ova Genetics. Dr. Looney has a long history of pioneering many developments in embryo technology both in Graduate School at LSU and private enterprise. In Dec. 2002, OvaGenix merged with International Embryo Services owned for 20 years by Dr. Harley Schneider. Dr. Schneider previously worked for Rio Vista Genetics. Before that he was at The University of Kentucky where they preformed the first successful non-surgical embryo transfer. OvaGenix main office is on The Dream Ranch, in Navasota, 25 minutes south of Bryan/College Station. The production unit is fully equipped with laboratories and equipment suitable for embryo transfer, Invitro Fertilization (IVF) and micromanipulation. OvaGenix has established a network of collaboration with Texas A&M, LSU, and Ohio State University along with several private research groups worldwide.
