Thomvest

http://www.thomvest.com

We focus on building a syndicate of venture funds for our deals in order to maximize the value to our portfolio companies. As such in addition to either leading or co-leading investments with other venture funds we also co-invest in venture rounds given the right company and the right mix of venture partners. Over 10 years of investing has seen us as co-investors with a number of other venture funds including Accel Partners, Altos Ventures, APV Technology Partners, Convergence Partners, Crosspoint Venture Partners, Dominion Ventures, El Dorado Ventures, Kleiner-Perkins, Pacific Community Ventures, Rustic Canyon Partners, Sequoia, Siemens Project Ventures, Technology Crossover Ventures, VantagePoint Venture Partners, and a number of other well-known venture investors. For early-stage ventures, Thomvest typically will invest between one to two million dollars as part of a syndicate of early-stage investors, though we are flexible in terms of the scale of our initial investments. We are committed investors and understand the staged-growth process of venture-funded companies, and we typically participate in subsequent financings for our portfolio companies. Our unique capital structure does not force us to take short term gains when an investment has significant long term potential. For seed ventures, Thomvest Seed Capital Inc. can provide as little as $100,000 of seed capital. When investing in seed ventures, Thomvest Seed Capital Inc. will typically do so as part of a syndicate of angel investors that collectively will be providing anywhere from $500,000 to $1 million of seed capital for entrepreneurs who are at the earliest stages of venture formation and may not yet be at the stage of seeking institutional investment.
