Students are educated at 21 elementary schools, four junior high schools, three high schools, one career center, one accelerated learning center, one student adjustment center, and one early childhood center. Additionally, the district operates three Head Start facilities. A unique feature of the district is the "School Choice" plan. The district has no secondary attendance zones. Haas Hall Academy

http://www.haashall.org

Haas Hall Academy is providing 303 more hours of instruction for academic credit than the state of Arkansas requires or 21% more instructional seat time per each Carnegie unit. This does not include lunch, directed study or time allotted for class change. The additional educational time affords our scholars the opportunity for more depth and breadth in each course. Scholars at Haas Hall Academy may also take advantage of our many AP offerings. Haas Hall Academy is focused to support, track, foster and intervene in the progress of each of its scholars. The curriculum will align with the Arkansas Curriculum Framework, in some aspects surpassing them. Opportunities will be provided for scholars to pursue areas of interest in selected disciplines guided by Gardner's M.I. both in whole class instruction and computer-based instruction. Haas Hall Academy will provide a challenging college preparatory program for all of its students. All scholars will have equal access and exposure to all content. Character education will be an element of the curriculum and lifestyle at Haas Hall Academy. Scholars will have essential character traits such as respect, responsibility, work ethic, empathy, honesty and integrity reinforced at Haas Hall Academy. Scholars will also be required to become involved in community projects, reinforcing their civic and personal responsibility. By definition, Haas Hall Academy's curriculum will be immersed in technology. Scholars will progress at their own rate through the use and maintenance of electronic equipment. Haas Hall Academy will incorporate technology into all of its classes our scholars will use technology to help them learn classical secondary school subjects. The restricted offerings are required of all scholars and parallel the requirements of largely private preparatory schools. There are few electives. Haas Hall Academy will produce a truly educated graduate. Curriculum may be modified based on annual evaluations. There will be release time and resources for the staff during the long breaks throughout the school year for curriculum development. Specialists and para-professionals in each of the content areas will provide collaboration on instructional techniques and curriculum planning for Haas Hall Academy's scholars.
