COTTAGE ART is an importer of Asian Indian handicrafts made in the remote, rural regions of India. The principles of Cottage Art are of Indian origin and have been bringing Indian fashion, silks, and fashion accessories to the U.K., and the United States for 2 decades now. With these many years of experience and knowledge of Indian textiles, Cottage Art has been started as the 'Home Furnishings' division. Cottage Art's wide variety of decorative textiles such as cottons, silks and brocades all embellished with embroidered designs in cotton and metallic thread, ethnic appliqués, and mirror appliqués, is the most exquisite of their entire collection of Handicrafts. These articles can be used as throws, shawls, wraps, wall hangings, bedspreads, and other home furnishings. They are available in the total gamut of earth tones, as well as the traditional Indian vibrant colors such as fuchsia, emerald green, bright reds and oranges, and peacock blue. The intricate embroidery is laden in gold, silver and copper metallic threads. Cottage Art's furniture collection includes wood and white metal handcrafted furniture from all over India, from the Northern, desert region of Rajasthan, to the Southern state of Tamil Nadu. This collection includes beautifully hand carved wood and marble frames and statues, marble tablets with intricately fine paintings which depict the many eras, dynasties, and epics in Indian history. We have recently hand picked a range of fine and fun items from Morocco and from Thailand.
