Harvest Pharmaceuticals Inc is dedicated to the purpose of improving patient outcomes and compliance through better access to pharmaceuticals. The traditional pharmacy/wholesale method of dispensing pharmaceutical products is at its most efficient when the products dispensed are "blockbuster" drugs, i.e., popular and commonly distributed drugs with annual sales of over $100 million. These products are well-stocked by wholesalers and readily available at the pharmacy level. However, these products amount to only a fraction of the number of products licensed in the U.S. What about products serving a smaller patient base? These products have limited volume, and limited sales potential, and, consequently, pharmacies and wholesalers don't commonly stock them. As a result, the patient often has the choice of either waiting the 24-36 hours (on average) required for the pharmacy to receive the product, or accept a substitution of a therapeutic equivalent which may not be as effective as the product prescribed by the physician. Harvest Pharmaceuticals Inc focuses on smaller, novel, therapeutically beneficial pharmaceutical products and is committed to establishing symmetry between physician and pharmacist for the purpose of improving access to these products.
