The Heinrich Böll Foundation continuously promotes its concept of gender democracy by striving to inject gender awareness and perspectives in international political processes and institutions such as the UN Millennium Development Goals, the World Trade Organization and the World Bank. We also support and focus on gender-specific processes, regimes and institutions, such as the United Nations Beijing follow-up process, the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), the UN Resolution 1325 or UNIFEM. The Heinrich Böll Foundation has its own Feminist Institute and international women's program administered by the Böll headquarters in Berlin and coordinates an international women's network GLOW. All employees are actively involved in the achievement of gender democracy and trained in gender-oriented program planning (GOPP).
Audubon Area is one of the premier human/family and community services agencies in Kentucky. Audubon's central office is located in Owensboro, Kentucky, a known historic rivertown on the banks of the Ohio River. Audubon Area primarily serves 34 Western Kentucky counties, from the Ohio River to the Kentucky-Tennessee border and from Mammoth Cave to the Mississippi River. One of its Counseling Services programs, however, the Kentucky Intensive Services Program (KISP) serves all Kentucky counties except three northern ones. The programs providing service include Child Care Assistance, Community Services Block Grant, Counseling Services, Green River Intra-County Transit System (GRITS), Head Start, Lincolnshire, Senior Service Corps, and Weatherization.

CUTS international is implementing this network-based research project in India and GMS countries to understand the present environment of economic cooperation between these countries and what the business thinks about the future scope of enhancing trade and investment. The objective is to explore issues hindering more trade and investment between these countries and areas where mutual cooperation can be enhanced. Issues concerning trade and investment between India and GMS countries are evolving at a rapid pace. Given India's Look East Policy, the GMS region is becoming an emerging area for future economic cooperation. On the other hand, there is little literature on such issues and, more importantly, business perceptions on the scope of such cooperation. Earlier national consultations were held in India, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam to discuss the findings of the perception surveys conducted within the framework of this project in these countries among various stakeholders.
