STEP aims to promote and support educational services with and for Gypsies and Travellers. And, as a counterbalance to the frequently negative press images to be found in recent times, STEP wants to highlight positive images of and 'good practice' with Gypsies and Travellers. STEP keeps regular contact with teachers of Travelling children and schools and is aware of many examples of 'good practice' in education, and in other areas. STEP uses its website to feature new and innovative examples of your 'good practice'. By working with you, STEP can help you present an article outlining the work you have been doing and in so doing signal to others what can be done with some help from your education authority's teachers and youth workers. STEP is really keen to hear about your work with Gypsy and Traveller children and young people, and will keep in contact with Traveller teachers and schools to ensure that such good work is acknowledged.
