Reiman Publications , LLC

http://www.reimanpub.com

Reiman Publications was started in 1965 by Roy Reiman in the basement of his Hales Corners, Wisconsin home. Today, the Reiman Publications family of companies (located in Greendale, Wisconsin) employs over 500 people in full-time and part-time positions including Editorial, Print Production Scheduling, Circulation Marketing, Prepress and Country Store. Affiliated companies include World Wide Country Tours, LLC, Homemaker Schools and Reiman Advertising and Promotion (RAP). We publish 14 national magazines, many of which have a rural focus, plus a variety of cookbooks and "coffee-table" books. The magazines are: Country Woman (launched in 1970) Farm & Ranch Living (1978) Country (1987) and Country EXTRA Reminisce (1991) and Reminisce EXTRA Taste of Home (1993) Birds & Blooms (1995) and Birds & Blooms EXTRA Country Discoveries (2000) Light & Tasty (2001) Backyard Living (2004) Cooking for 2 (2005) Taste of Home's Simple & Delicious (2006) Combined circulation is over 13 million and growing. Unlike most other national magazines, which contain a ratio of 60% advertising to 40% editorial content, all Reiman Publications magazines are ad-free. Revenues are generated by subscriptions and newsstand sales. Despite warnings from publishing "experts" who claim it's impossible to publish magazines without ads, we've done so successfully for over 30 years. Currently, six of our magazines rank among the top 100 in national circulation ... and one-- Taste of Home --is the largest food magazine in the world. In addition to magazines and books, we offer several other products and services. Our Country Store mail order division (founded in 1975) stocks a wide variety of country-oriented items from cookware to clothing, plus many "exclusives" including cookbooks, calendars, scenic photo books and nostalgia books. World Wide Country Tours, LLC (1980) offers dozens of different domestic and foreign tours, most with a unique rural focus. Last year, thousands of people (many of them repeat customers) took one or more of the professionally guided, company hosted trips. Homemaker Schools (a 50-year-old company acquired in 1995) hosts locally sponsored Taste of Home Cooking Schools coast to coast, presenting cooking demonstrations to over 250,000 attendees annually. These demonstrations (lasting about 2 hours) feature over a dozen recipes prepared on stage by a professional home economist. Reiman Advertising and Promotion (known as "RAP") was started in 1995 to add value for our subscribers through cents-off coupons and special offers from large food and consumer products companies. These coupons and offers are presented in a Savings Pack that "rides along" in the protective polybags of Taste of Home. More information on Reiman Publications products and services is available throughout this Web site.
