PLUS Entertainment is an award-winning independent development and production company that focuses on engaging projects with commercial appeal in both film and theatre. Founded in 1995 by Victoria Lang and Pier Paolo Piccoli PLUS Entertainment is based in New York City, a city renowned for its extensive and thriving film and theatre opportunities. Since its inception, PLUS Entertainment has steadily gained a reputation for developing fresh new writers and directors. PLUS Entertainment exploded onto the arts scene in 2003 with the Off-Broadway smash MATT & BEN which was called "The Hottest Play in New York," by Newsweek Magazine and "One of the Top 5 Plays of the Year" by TIME Magazine. The same year, PLUS also mounted the celebrated musical LISTEN TO MY HEART: The Songs of David Friedman, which was nominated for a prestigious Drama Desk Award. PLUS Entertainment continued its winning streak in 2004 with the premier of the new musical JOHNNY GUITAR, recipient of the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical of 2004. Shortly after, PLUS opened the Los Angeles production of MATT & BEN to rave reviews. Productions of MATT & BEN are currently in place in cities across the United States and Canada. This pas Fall, PLUS was represented on London's West End with the production of BAT BOY THE MUSICAL. Currently PLUS is in pre-production with SHOUT! The MOD Musical, SILENCE! THE MUSICAL and SHADES OF GRAY, featuring the monologues of Spalding Gray. PLUS has also produced many independent films including the acclaimed feature length, MACBETH IN MANHATTAN, starring Gloria Reuben, which was honored with the Best Feature award at the South Beach Film Festival, and the Audience Award at the Long Island Film Festival. Additional film credits include the independent features DARK TIDES, PERFECT LIES, and THE FOUNTAIN OF DEATH, all of which are currently in worldwide distribution. PLUS is also a pioneer in technological advances in the film industry. The company was excited the year to produce the first ever, online, digital, feature film, CHAOS THEORY.
