Beacon Light & Sound

http://www.beaconvideo.net

Beacon Light & Sound is a video production and editing company specializing in weddings, anniversaries and other special events. We are conveniently located near Davis Square in West Somerville, MA and our services are available in Greater Boston and surrounding communities. My name is Bob Harotunian, founder of Beacon Light & Sound. My career began in the accounting profession after graduating from Bentley College with a BSA degree. Later, I became interested in information technology and eventually led project teams and managed financial systems for COM/Energy and IBM. However, it was the creativity and artistry required for event videography that brought me to the world of video production. It is my passion to capture living memories for our clients that they can enjoy for generations. Although I have been videotaping and editing for years, I believe that there is no substitute for on-going training to maintain needed skills. To that end, I am a participating member of the Wedding and Event Videographers Association (WEVA), National Professional Videographers Association (NPVA) and attend various workshops or training courses in both camera and software techniques. I am assisted by my wife, Sandy, and together we provide two camera coverage at all ceremonies. We are a full-time video services company with no other sidelines and my focus is squarely on producing treasured video movies for our clients.

Soundmirror , Inc.

http://www.soundmirror.com

FOUNDED in 1972, Soundmirror is a fully digital recording, post-production company specializing in acoustic music and sound for picture. Its staff has done extensive field recording around the world and has produced, edited, and mastered projects for over forty classical music labels. Its orchestral, solo, and chamber recordings have received numerous Grammy nominations (and awards) as well as special mention in Gramophone and Stereophile. Designed for ultimate efficiency and comfort, its Boston studios are among the finest post-production facilities on the east coast. They are also a proving ground for cutting edge equipment: the first Lexicon Opus and the first Sonic 24-channel editor were installed and tested at Soundmirror. We're currently one of the very few companies offering SACD recording, editing, and mastering with both the Pyramix 8-track system and the Genex 48-track system. We have just completed our second season archiving Conductor James Levine's Boston Symphony Orchestra recordings. We are also working on our fifth batch of the RCA Living Stereo SACD Remasters. Soundmirror has recorded for virtually every major record label including Albany, Analekta, BMG, CBS, Chandos, Decca, Denon, Deutsche Gramophon, EMI, Erato, Harmonia Mundi, Koch International Classics, N2K, Naxos, New World, Nonesuch, Philips Classics, Phonogram, RCA, Sony Classics, Telarc, Teldec, Virgin, and Warner/Elektra. We continue to help individuals and arts organizations develop their own recording programs and marketing strategies in this age of independent labels.
