Drescher Films, Inc. is an award-winning film and video production company specializing in promotional films and documentaries. We have worked with some of the nation's top corporate, government and non-profit organizations. Drescher Films brings together a team of experienced professionals who work closely with our clients every step of the production. Every project and every client -- large or small -- is important to the company. Hugh Drescher, the company's principal, has over twenty years of experience in documentary, educational, promotional and commercial film and video production. His film Air Group 16: We Came To Remember about the last reunion of the pilots and gunners o the USS Lexington in World War II aired nationally on PBS in May 2007. His documentary Island Out of Time won the 2001 Pare Lorentz Award at the International Documentary Association's annual competition. The Award goes to the "individual work that best reflects the democratic principals of documentary filmmaking." The film is about the struggle of the people of Smith Island in the Chesapeake Bay. It was broadcast nationally on PBS in April 2002 and won an Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Washington DC. From 1988 to 1992, Mr. Drescher was a senior producer with United Way Productions in Alexandria, Virginia, and Director of Film and Video Production. There he produced numerous award-winning projects, including the half-hour television special, The Changing American Family. In 1992, Mr. Drescher formed his own company, Drescher Films, producing award-winning films for corporate and non-profit clients.
